The Vision Profiles Management team
An amalgamation of backgrounds and work experience, all with varying key roles .
the dynamics within the team make for great working relationships, full of different perspectives and ideas.
Julie has worked for Vision Profiles since 2006 originally, as an accounts Clerk. Julie comments: “I’ve seen the company grow from a small business employing 6 people, to where the company is now, employing around 50 staff. I studied for my AAT Diploma at Gloscol. During my time at Vision Profiles I have progressed to the role of Finance Manager with two other members of staff in the team. I am a local girl born and bred, originally from Brockworth where I lived with my four sisters and brother. There was always music blasting from our very busy and lively home, as we all playing musical instruments, my instrument of choice being the Clarinet. My Dad still plays in a band to this day. In my spare time, I follow my sons football team, Quedgeley Wanderers and enjoy caravan touring.”
Alicja has been with Vision Profiles since 2015 as Operations Manager, bringing great knowledge and experience of the Aluminium industry. “My role is constantly evolving”, Alicja comments. “I am responsible for all Operations including; fabrication, packing, kitting, material and capacity control, planning, the warehouse and transport. I also monitor quality control; with process improvements and stock management becoming key to my day to day. I love team building and motivating, and feel hugely proud to manage a strong, dedicated team of fantastic individuals. Data base improvement projects and maintenance currently play a big part in my work life.” Alicja recently joined the parent club, and little Melody is never far from her side. “I take Mini me wherever and whenever so she has started her hiking, travelling and outdoor life early! I love skydiving, but for now its mini adrenaline activities like zip lines or go karting. I still love my yoga and swimming, and reading … but its audio books now that help pass my commute!”
Sales Division & Quality Manager
Also known as ‘The Cake Monster’ or more recently ‘The Running Man’, Paul has been with the company for nearly 9 years. He started his Vision life as a Production Planner and has progressed onto Production Planning Manager and, most recently, into his current role as Quality Manager. Paul has helped Vision Profiles to re-certify for the ISO 9001 Quality Assurance System and sees this as a key principle for the Quality Dept. to add value to the customer. Paul comments: “I enjoy sport and am heavily involved with a local football club, Gala Wilton, who Vision kindly sponsor. I also enjoy the odd round of golf. Most recently I’ve taken up running and last year ran the Gloucester Marathon as well as the Stroud Half. I strongly deny being a train-spotter, but nobody believes me!”
National Sales Manager
Hugh joined the Vision Profiles team in 2016, with great delight to Alan, as Hugh and Alan have worked in the industry and crossed paths numerous times over the years. Hugh comments: “I have 40 years’ experience in the aluminium industry fulfilling a number of roles, including sales management, profile design and planning, so I felt that I deserved an easier life in my twilight years. Working as National Sales Manager for a stockholder with the unique belief that nothing is impossible, in partnership with an extruder whose product range, facilities and commitment to customer excellence is second to none, seemed like a good opportunity to achieve this. I’m also thinking of the not too distant future; because I’m old, a Scot, and stair lifts contain a lot of extrusion, I’m hopeful of a cheap deal on one when the fateful day arrives!” Hugh’s sales area covers Scotland & Ireland, and managing key accounts. With Hugh’s experience in the aluminium trade, Vision is in safe hands under his watch.
“I started in the aluminium industry 20 years ago, working for an aluminium fenestration fabricator, then onto Elumatec and finally Sapa profiles. I missed working for a smaller family run company where service relationships really mattered”, Stu comments. He heard that Alan Grady was considering purchasing some Elumatec machinery, and the rest is history. “I have been with Vision for almost 8 years now and the expansion and improvements that have happened are outstanding." Now, Stu’s role of Technical Manager, gets him involved in all extrusion and manufacturing enquiries as well as assisting all departments at Vision with service to the clients. “I love working with my hands but I must admit, whenever I'm planning work on the house … I’ll design the layout on AutoCad first!”
Marketing & Communications Manager
Currently half way through her second year, having previously worked for Vision as an Account Manager 5 years ago, Lauren is back with vengeance taking on the big task of Marketing and Communications. “My background? I’m a Design and Photography Graduate, with 8 years of retail management under my belt. Music & analogue photography are my true passions, and my little dog Lewi, I’m completely obsessed with him – oh & aluminium obviously (sorry Mr Grady!)” Lauren continues: “Undoubtedly, the most exciting prospect for me, is my future in the business. I was 12 when my Dad founded Vision Profiles, & I feel hugely proud to be a part of a company that, not only has been hugely successful and continues to grow – but to be part of a company with such a strong & genuine ethos; Nothing is Impossible. And if nothing is impossible, I feel confident that not only mine, but the other 50 employees at Vision profiles’ future will continue to be very bright."
